5 Muted Green Kitchens I Love
I've posted about kitchen inspiration before, but it feels so much closer now that we are replacing the floors in a couple of weeks!
From the beginning I envisioned a gray green color for the cabinets, mostly because it was neutral enough to make our small kitchen cozy but not busy. An all-white kitchen would obviously make it seem bigger, but I am not a fan of maid-less me trying to keep an all-white kitchen looking decent.
After I looked around a bit for color confirmation, I can soundly say I'm all for grey green in my house. I could be biased because green is my favorite color, but after checking these 5 kitchens out, you might be in love too!
I love this kitchen from Better Homes and Gardens because it has a gorgeous piece of wood hiding the hood, but also because it does such a great job of mixing texture in with that pretty cabinet color. Nothing feels busy but does give the "collected" feel which I love so much. It definitely makes me go back and forth on the brass vs. black hardware debate going on in my head.
I mean...would any kitchen inspiration post be complete without referencing DeVol Kitchens? And this particular kitchen puts a tally in the brass hardware category.
Everything in this kitchen by Barbara Westbrook feels natural. It feels like its been there for much longer than it has, and the gray green recedes into the background, letting the view take focus.
This dusty green stunner is also by Barbara Westbrook is perfection in my book. I love how the color is carried out in the crown molding as well since there are no upper cabinets on the hood wall.
Stop. me. in. my. tracks. Do you SEE that wallpaper? The dusty mint cabinets? THE WOOD TRIM FOR PETE'S SAKE?! This kitchen from Sarah Stacey Design sings to me. Like Judy Garland. I think I'll go for a more olive undertone instead of something cooler like this, but this was too pretty not to share.
EEEEEK I love it. I am so ready to paint our cabinets. And the floor. And the outside of the house. I like paint.
